This artwork represents preparing for our family growing from 2 to 3. It’s a raw and transformative time for two people to become parents for the first time.
Together we create this space surrounded with love, community and patience. While we surrender to the ebbs and flows of the transformation process, we find peace in knowing that our son prepares to join us.
The two blue U shaped symbols represent the father and son. While the various blooming flowers symbolise the mother.
They protect their child with shelter, nourish him with food and are blessed with help from their village or community to rely on. The kangaroo tracks represent the transition and milestones.

The Artist
My name is Lili Jacobsen, but I am better known locally in my hometown of Bundaberg as Wattle Woman. I am a First Nations descendant of the Gubbi Gubbi and Torres Strait Islander people living in Bundaberg.
I have been a practicing Artist for 5 years; I have specialised in sculpting with polymer clay. I take inspiration from the beauty and power of the Australian Flora and Fauna and my mixed Indigenous Australian heritage when creating my work.
Each pair I create holds a piece of my spirit, energy and story within them, making all my handcrafted earrings unique and precious. I’m dedicated to reconnecting my hands to my mind and spirit; this is the product of such practice. Please wear with pride!

Material
This pair of earrings is made of polymer clay. The posts are made of surgical-grade stainless steel we also use the same material for our ear nuts and jump rings. Or gold plates hoops, hooks or stud tops in dangles are used.
