Butterflies 🦋 They symbolise transformation, beauty, rebirth, hope, freedom, endurance, and love.
In my family butterflies are cherished. We adorn it in the forms of tattoos, clothing, art and moments in time where we find peace by watching them float by. My great-grandmother on my mum's side (non-indigenous) passed away late last week.
I am reminded of the fragility of life by her transition and see the parallels of death that remind me of a butterfly.
